Description
In collaboration with SC Anestesia Rianimazione, Ospedale San Giovanni Bosco, Torino, this project is aimed to study the in vitro and in vivo absorption of different drugs during the CPFA (Coupled Plasma Filtration Adsorption) treatment. The in vitro studies are performed by incubation of different antibiotics and antimycotics in the presence of the resin, and further determination of the residual amount of the drugs in the supernatant by UV-Vis spectrophotometry.
For the in vivo part different Italian hospitals will be involved in this multicentric study. Plasma samples from patient treated with drug during CPFA will be analyzed by HPLC in order to determine the residual plasmatic amount of the drug during and at the end of the CPFA treatment.
These results will allow to adjust the scheduling of drug administration in this kind of patients.
