Description:

The field-flow fractionation (FFF) technique has recently emerged in pharmaceutical field as a prominent complement to other size analysis technologies (i.e. size exclusion chromatography, Dynamic Light Scattering, etc.). Fractionation with FFF is gentle and preserves protein/particles structural integrity better than existing alternatives. In the present research project, different nano-systems will be tested in their respective field of application in order to offer integrations between the FFF technique and other methods of physico-chemical characterization. Among the research activities, the international collaboration with Jesus Usón Minimally Invasive Surgery Centre (JUMISC-Spain) concerning the “Characterization and quantification of exosomes by asymmetrical-flow field-flow fractionation” should be mentioned.
